It’s that time of year again — wet leaves underfoot, grey skies above, and the usual British tradition of discussing both in great detail.
Which got us thinking: when it comes to CGIs, have you noticed how every project seems to live in a world of perfect blue skies and endless summer?

Don’t worry — we’re not about to start pushing out stormy scenes and wind-blown umbrellas. But in the real world, weather and season play a big part in how we experience spaces. A low winter sun, a misty morning, or even just a sky with a bit of texture — these things all add atmosphere. And atmosphere tells a story.

Cinema does this all the time, and we never question it.
So perhaps there’s room for a little more variety in the way we visualise architecture too?
